Inspirational Chess Picture
The inspirational chess picture reminds me of my mother’s father; my pop pop. I have always been
very close to him, and he taught me to play chess when I was about 12. I really enjoyed the game, and still do. Patience is truly a virtue when playing. My pop pop would usually let me win, and even if he seemed flustered at the fact he lost, I still think he knew what one move could have ended the game with his victory. Because he taught me to play chess, I have been able to teach my boyfriend and various friends to play as well. Unfortunately, none of them enjoy the game as much as I do. That may just be because the game of chess has more personal value to me, but at least I know that when my pop pop is gone, I can look at a chess piece and see it for more than what it is.
